The stock is made with the color impregnated into the Gel-Coat (the exterior surface). We also use a corresponding color pigment in the resin, which gives the stock a uniform color throughout. This finish can come in a solid color, camouflage or marble. We have six basic camouflage patterns that are standard order items, and marble combinations are virtually limitless.
The marble finish is created by swirliing two or three different colors into the surface of the stock. It can be used as an effective camouflage when using olive green and black, for example, or as a competition-type finish when using red, white and blue.
Remember when ordering that each finish is done by hand and that each is unique. It, is impossible to exactly duplicate any marble finish. Also, the color will change shades somewhat due to the, mixing of colors while the swirling is done. Marble stocks may not be returned because of dissatisfaction with the color. However you may opt to have us paint the stock at our regular price. Because the finish is molded in, it is strictly a utility-grade finish. The mold lines will show (mold lines are lines that occur where the two halves of the mold come together). Also, some small imperfections, as well as sanding marks, may be visible. We do our best to make these finishes as attractive as possible; however we are limited in what we can accomplish with molded-in colors. Solid colors, especially darker colors, produce the greatest challenge, whereas the camouflages tend to turn out better because the various colors and shapes tend to hide imperfections. Marbled colors offer the best choice for creating a finished look with a molded-in color.
